Clinical Writer
Salary: £46,000 per annum (or pro-rata for part-time)
Contract: 12 month Fixed-Term Contract
Are you a pharmacist with a range of clinical and medicines information experience?
Do you have a passion for finding information, analysing and presenting it clearly and concisely?
We have an exciting opportunity for a diligent, enthusiastic, and detail-orientated Clinical Writer to join our Editorial team. In this role you will contribute to content creation, including searching for and selecting relevant information, organising and writing or checking content suitable for use in PhP products (British National Formulary, Martindale: The Complete Drug Reference, Stockley’s Drug Interactions, etc) and taking clinical and professional responsibility for the accuracy, safety, and appropriateness of the content.
This job is available full-time or part-time (at least three days a week).

Requirements:
- A pharmacy graduate with a wide experience of pharmacy practice;
- An excellent knowledge of the clinical use of drugs and medicines;
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely;
- The ability to critically analyse source material and judge the clinical relevance of information on medicines;
- Ability to work effectively within a team and to organise own workload.
The Directorate
In the Publishing Directorate, we’re the world leaders in evidence-based pharmaceutical publications and guidance. Pharmacists and other healthcare professionals trust us to provide expert analysis, educational support, webinars, and news that informs, supports and enhances their practice. We independently source, evaluate, and communicate and make practical medicines knowledge accessible worldwide. In the Publishing Directorate, the following teams work collaboratively to provide our world-class products: the Journals team; the Sales and Marketing team; the Technology team; the Product team and the Editorial team (in which this role sits).
The Team
Pharmaceutical Press publications are produced by an editorial team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and scientists, with a range of backgrounds and experience. A team with a diverse workload, we rely on good communication and work in a flexible, collaborative way to create high-quality medicines information for users of our content.
How we are currently working
RPS supports and works in a hybrid way, which means you will be able to work from home; however, there will be an expectation for collaborative face-to-face working – on average and typically this may be something between 4–8 working days per month at our London Office.
