Role: Pharmacy Professional Engagement Lead - Scotland and the north of England
Location: Edinburgh / Scotland / North of England with travel
Full time - 35 hours per week
The purpose of the role is to work under the Head of Engagement and Professional Belonging to ensure a co-ordinated and effective programme across the whole of Great Britain. Leading the development and delivery of the RPS Regional model across Scotland and the North of England and to lead a programme of change across regions which will ensure the current approaches to RPS regional and local engagement embed and grow.
Main responsibilities:
Ensure a common, focussed approach to regional engagement across GB, which increases the engagement and interaction with members and non-members and achieves an improved presence for RPS across all three countries.
Support Regional Ambassadors to deliver a series of RPS regional and local events across GB and support the implementation of digital solutions to further improve the level of local engagement with our membership.
Work with the Education directorate, country teams and other colleagues to ensure the development of relevant, appropriate, quality assured, topic content for RPS regional events, feeding into RPS live delivery as appropriate.
Ensure that resources are managed effectively to maximise operational delivery of the RPS regional (GB) model beyond traditional country boundaries
About you:
A UK registered pharmacist with good understanding of the vision and mission of RPS and shared values.
Ability to motivate, persuade and influence colleagues and peers;
Ability to present information and arguments clearly and concisely both orally and in writing and liaise effectively with people from a range of backgrounds. A degree of political acumen, emotional intelligence and sensitivity will be required;
Ability to collaborate with wider internal and external teams, whilst capable of high levels of self-motivation;
Ability to organise, prioritise and plan work to deadlines combined with the ability to display balanced initiative and forward planning within resources;
Willingness to travel regularly to deliver on the key responsibilities of the role
How we are currently working:
RPS supports and works in a hybrid way, which means you will be able to work from home, however, there will be an expectation for collaborative face-to-face working – on average and typically this may be something between 4-8 working days per month at our Edinburgh Office.
